Heart Nexus Teams Up with Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross
Cardiovascular Seminar to take Place at RCSX

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 11, 2017) – The Eighth Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross (RCSX) is set to take place tomorrow Sunday, March 12, and Monday, March 13, at the historic Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. With the opening ceremonies just around the corner, MX Sports is pleased to welcome Heart Nexus to take part in this unique and prestigious two-day event.

Heart Nexus is led by Dr. Beto, who has over 25 years of experience in the cardiology field. Founded just three years ago, Heart Nexus focuses on bringing cardiology care to patients in rural areas through telemedicine. Most recently, Heart Nexus has also begun to concentrate on athletics, where professional NBA and NFL teams now screen all players for cardiovascular issues before they perform.

“We are excited to be at RCSX,” said Dr. Beto. “It is a testament to MX Sports to ask us to attend, because they are definitely ahead of the curve in understanding the importance of cardiovascular screening. I believe this will eventually become a national level staple in motocross.”

While the actual screenings will not take place at the event, Heart Nexus will produce a seminar for racers and family members at RCSX. This seminar will focus on the importance of cardiovascular awareness in one of the most strenuous and physically demanding sports – motocross.

Taking place just once day after the popular Daytona Supercross by Honda, amateur racing will take center stage and future professional athletes can learn a variety of topics relevant to the up-and-coming starts of the sport. In addition to Heart Nexus, MotoE’s Complete Race Solutions, Hook It and LITPro will be offering their services and support to the races in various seminars.

This event also serves as the season opener of the eight-round ONSIA Sound Art Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX), featuring the fastest females on two wheels. For more information on the WMX schedule click HERE.

The class structure includes 36 classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a supercross format, using heat races and last chance qualifiers to seed the field of riders into a main event in each class.

Live streaming will be provided by RacerTV on Monday, March 13, starting at noon. Race fans from across the world will have the opportunity to watch their favorite racers battle in the finals for the number one plate.
