Classes are filling up fast for this weekend’s 5th Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross (RCSX), taking place Sunday, March 9 and Monday, March 10 at Daytona International Speedway. Due to the supercross-style format of the AMA-sanctioned RCSX, many of the popular classes have reached the maximum number of gate positions and have been capped for this year’s event.
MX Sports urges all competitors to take a look at the RCSX registration page to see which classes are still available. If a class is full, continue to check the website as positions are updated immediately after a rider withdrawls or registers for a class.
Please do not call the MX Sports office to check the availability of a class. There is a high volume of calls coming in and the MX Sports staff is working diligently to keep the registration page updated to reflect available gates. Check the availability of classes HERE.
Riders who are already registered and would like to purchase additional tickets, camping passes or pit vehicle passes can do so online. Just register online with your racer’s information but do not check a class selection.
The RCSX class structure includes classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a supercross format, using heat races and last chance qualifiers to seed the field of riders into a main event in each class, over the course of two days. Unlike the Loretta Lynn Ranch format, riders do not need to qualify at other races in order to participate in the Daytona event.
The 5th Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross Championship will take place Sunday, March 9 and Monday, March 10, 2014. For more information on the event, please visit www.racedaytona.com.
